Erica and Keith were pretty nervous before we started their engagement session but as with any of my couples, we took the time to walk around, do some warm up shots and play with their adorable doggo Cooper who was along for the shoot! I would says their photos are anything but awkward! In fact, I would says they are pretty uber romantic! That sunset, her dress, they way he looks at her, AND a doggo! Uggg, Its all too much! I can already envision the stunning shots we are going to get at their Castle in the Clouds wedding next August.
You ever squee so hard, you pee yourself a little? Lauren, Ryan, and their cutie doggo, Callie, were far too f---ing cute for this giddy photog. We started in Smith Farm Hill, a glade near Westport, MA, and, foolish me, I thought this couple would need to warm up to the task, but Ryan flashed his blue eyes and Lauren gave me that pearly, beautiful smile and we were off! Before I knew it, we were all waste deep in the ocean at Horseneck Beach, the sky rife with that soft, post-thundershower glow. It was perfect and beautiful and I did pee a little. And now, you will all probably see these photos on my Instagram for awhile, especially leading up to September 12 next year at the Brook Meadow Country Club. CAN NOT WAIT! GAWWWWW!
Summer solstice come in with a few absolutely gorgeous days this year, and when we arrived at Endicott Park . . . Stunning! The sun so soft, the air was perfectly warm like a blanket . . . And then these two lovely souls had to come in and make it THAT much better! Marianne and Jarrett throw the occasional joking remarks, but they are all heart and full of laughs. We had much fun frolicking around the park and, I definitely see that love in all of these photos! It’s funny that the summer scene couldn’t be more different than their upcoming winter wedding at the Willowdale Estate. Can not wait!
When we first met Courtney and Evan for breakfast at a diner in Foxboro we were all fast friends! With our loves of beaches, sunsets, dogs, carbs, and champagne we knew that shooting their engagement session with them was going to be a blast. At breakfast we talked ideas, ate amazing food, and it seemed easy to come up with a sunset beach, popping bottles of champagne session!
Engagement sessions are my jam! I love getting to know my couples, getting them warmed up in front of the camera, learning about them, and capturing their relationship! Lindsay, Jer and I had so much fun running up and down Crane beach, chasing the sun and collecting sea shells and horse shoe crabs all while documenting their love!
Erica and John told me several times that they were awkward in front of the camera…Uhm, Can I call rubbish on that? Just look at these two! Their love and fun spirits shine through on our sunset beach session. I can not wait for their 2020 wedding at the Oceanview and to capture more beautiful moments between these love birds!
Why not do a little at home cozy couple shoot, just because. We got to chat about how nervous Val and Mark started off in front of the camera and pretty much ended up gallivanting all around their super cute cactus themed apartment, playing with lighting and poses, and exchanging inappropriate jokes. Not to mention me giving constant friendly reminders to tickle and make out with each other. I dont think it would be possible to not have a good time doing an in home couples session with these two.
This was an amazing season! All of our weddings were beautiful and all of our couples were so fun and wonderful to work with! We shot in a wide variety of venues and many different styles of weddings, it’s beautiful to see everyones own personality come through on their wedding days. On a more personal level I felt myself grow this season professionally. I stepped up and became a leader, in my photography and as my decision to officially start a business under my own name. I have been shooting weddings for years now but mostly for other people under their business names. Going out on my own has been equal parts scary and exciting at the same time. I was surprised that finally deciding to go out on my own was a confidence booster for me. Actually telling myself everyday “I can do this” has been such a positive impact on my day to day happiness. Not to mention that I am doing what I love! To celebrate the end of the season I have picked some of my favorite moments from this year for this post. Enjoy!
